I am excited to be joining Learning Fundamentals after spending the last five years as a primary classroom teacher. I am passionate about identifying and supporting the learning needs of students struggling to reach their full potential in the classroom. I am currently completing my Master of Learning Intervention at the University of Melbourne to deepen my knowledge of evidence-based, best teaching practice to support students with learning difficulties, and have recently completed my MSL training.
I believe in the importance of creating a positive and engaging learning environment for the students in my care, making learning fun and promoting a growth mind-set.
I completed my Master of Teaching (Primary) at the University of Melbourne in 2012, following a career in Marketing that spanned over fifteen years. I also hold a Bachelor of Social Science in Marketing and Psychology.
Raising my four young adult children has helped to give me further insights into the diverse emotional, learning and development needs of children, particularly from the perspective of a parent. I love keeping active, reading, travelling and spending time with family and friends.
